Hello developer,
We’d like to alert you to changes in our Yandex.Store Developer Agreement, which you can find on the website http://legal.yandex.com/store_developer_agreement.
In particular, we’d like to draw your attention to the two most important changes. |
|
|
|
Firstly, there is now an extra appendix with Terms and Conditions for Offline Retail Store Distribution, according to which you now authorise Yandex to market or distribute your content via physical, non-online retail stores, owned and/or operated by third parties. This new provision applies only to free apps. An example of this kind of distribution is when a salesperson helps a customer install apps on a newly purchased smartphone. According to the new terms and conditions of our agreement, retail stores may install any free application from Yandex Store on their customers’ devices in this way.
Secondly, Yandex can now market and distribute your apps not only through Yandex Store and Partner Stores, but also through Third Party Stores (operated by a third party that is not a member of the Yandex Group) on a sub-agency, sub-licensing, distribution services or other basis.
The revised agreement will take effect and be binding for both parties five business days after you receive this letter. You don’t have to do anything to accept the new terms, as you will be automatically deemed to have accepted them. If you do not agree to the new conditions, you should terminate the agreement – to do this, all you have to do is remove any and all of your content from the store as provided in section 9.1 of the agreement.
All the best,
The Yandex.Store team |
